Nowadays, information about incentives/tax breaks, co-production treaties and locations is easy to find on the Internet. But, it is through more detailed information and advice, only available on the ground or through the AFCI that can make an enormous difference in the budgeting and decision making process.

For film projects and Producers, it’s about doing the research, talking to the film commissions, and finding out how their local relationships can give you more “value adds” and enhancements that improve your budget, structure you for incentive qualification, provide you with more filming options, and give you on the ground support. Commissions recognise they too have to initiate change in how they work by taking a critical look at their relationships on the ground and how they can expand upon and develop, the services, advice and support they offer to the production community.

Join AFCI on Saturday, February 11th, for the inside track on production decisions - an interactive discussion on how producers make decisions about locations based upon key budget and finance considerations, as well as locations and support from film commissions.
