AFCI Events

With more than 340 AFCI member film commissions worldwide, you’ll find a film commission almost anywhere on location you want to shoot and as close as a phone call or email. You’ll also find them at many of the same events you attend.

CINEPOSIUM in conjunction with AFCI University, is the AFCI's primary education event. Cineposium 2009 will be held in Universal City, California, USA. While AFCI film commissions are required to take the new online Film Commission Fundamentals and the new Film Commission Professional class before becoming full members, film commission staff seek out this lively event for its incredible educational value to their profession.

AFCI Locations Trade Show 09 is where film commissions from around the world and leading location services providers meet face to face with the industry to conduct the business of location filmmaking. Thousands of industry decision makers come to meet professionals and learn about services available all over the planet. They discuss locations, crews, tax incentives, exchange rates, resources and the special value each location and exhibitor have for filmmakers.

Last year's show featured 300 exhibitors from 30 countries and pulled in more than 3500 industry professionals. This year, the show promises to be even better. With AFCI 's strong marketing and bold new brand, it will be on the radar of key decision-makers at all the major studios and the independent, television and commercial production world.
