Jerry Ketcham graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Florida. After working as a production assistant on several ABC After school Specials, he became a location manager beginning with Tony Bill’s directorial feature debut, MY BODYGUARD, in 1979.  Along the way he landed a long term job in the early 1980’s as a Location Manager for several Burt Reynolds’ films including “Sharkey’s Machine,” “Smokey and The Bandit II,” and “Cannonball Run II” among others. 

This eventually brought him to Director Guild of America in 1983.  After quickly passing thru the second assistant director ranks with Steven Spielberg’s NBC series AMAZING STORIES, ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS and other Universal Studios projects, he became a freelance first assistant director in 1985.  After seven years on various feature and television productions including ENCINO MAN & NOISES OFF, he joined the Walt Disney Studios family in 1994 as a feature film production executive.  Jerry was promoted to Vice-President of motion picture production in 1996, and to Senior Vice-President in 1998.   He continues to work with new and established filmmakers at the studio to help guide them thru the various stages of the production process. 

He’s had the privilege to be involved with such Disney studio projects as RANSOM, PHENOMENON, GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE, THE PARENT TRAP, THE WATERBOY, BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE, MR. 3000, THE GUARDIAN, EIGHT BELOW, DAN IN REAL LIFE, BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA and this past Christmas the Adam Sandler, BEDTIME STORIES holiday film.   Recent projects include CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC that will be released on Valentine’s Day and THE PROPOSAL, starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in June.

Projects Jerry is currently working are PRINCE OF PERSIA, TRON AND WILD HOGS 2.

In addition to working in several states the last several years, his production work has taken him to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Britain, and Africa. 

Jerry has been happily married to Ramona for 25 years with two daughters, Alexandra, 22, and Natalie, 20.
