Tulare County Film Commission
We are located in the central San Joaquin Valley, within a three hour drive from both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Tulare County is the second-largest producer of agricultural commodities in the United States and the largest dairy production region in the world.
The Eastern half of the County is home to roughly 80 percent of the Giant Sequoias that grow in the Sierra Nevada range, largely in areas that include Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, Sequoia National Forest & the Giant Sequoia National Monument.
We also have a vary large Tulare County park with many Giant Sequoias that looks like Yosemite (Balch Park) and has a less rigorous permit process than the federal system. Tulare County is also home to several wilderness areas, including the Mineral King, Golden Trout, and Domelands Wilderness areas.
