A current member of the AFCI, the Utah Film Commission is part of the Utah Office of Tourism, Film and Global Branding under the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development. The Film Commission was established in 1974 to market the entire State of Utah as a destination for film, television, and commercial productions by promoting local professional crew, services and locations. Our knowledgeable staff is here to assist your production with all your filming needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from initial scouts and pre-production to principal photography and post-production. Our office provides professional and timely consulting to your production questions, and can assist you with the inevitable last-minute changes with your production needs. The Utah Film Commission manages the Utah Motion Picture Incentive Program, which offers a 20 – 25 percent tax credit for approved productions.
