Tourism New Zealand Launches Big Break Film Competition
Tourism New Zealand has launched its initiative Your Big Break, alongside Peter Jackson, Barrie
Osborne and Park Road Post Production. Aimed at producing a winning three minute film which
captures the essence of 100% Pure New Zealand, the competition is open to anyone around the
world. Contestants have between 9 December and 15 January to submit their competition
screenplay. Four finalists will be selected by an industry panel, including Lord of the Rings
producer Osborne, and a fifth will be selected by public vote. Finalists will then shoot their short
film with Osborne’s support before a winner is chosen by iconic New Zealand producer and
director Peter Jackson. The winning film will screen on US television. Submissions closing date:
