SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 17, 2010—Mark Stricklin, executive director of the Birmingham-Jefferson Film Office was presented the prestigious Arthur M. Loew Jr. Crystal Vision Award at Locations Trade Show in Santa Monica, California earlier this month. The Award honors an active or former Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) film commissioner and/or staff member for envisioning, developing, or helping to implement programs that have notably furthered the goals of the AFCI.

The Award, established in 1989, commemorates Arthur Loew’s steadfast efforts to help make the AFCI a vital, professional element of the on-location film and television production industry.
